Solar calculator

Get a preliminary estimate of the solar system and battery size that may suit your home. Prefer a conversation? Ask Haraya: it asks the same questions one at a time.

Fill in the calculator
1Your electricity use

Printed on your bill as kWh consumption. More accurate than the peso amount.

2Your appliances (optional, improves accuracy)

Tick what you have and adjust the typical values. If you entered a bill or kWh, that is used for sizing and the appliance list is used as a cross-check.

Appliance estimate: –

3When you use electricity

When do you use most of your electricity?

Are you usually at home during the day?

4Battery and backup

How important is backup power to you?

Do you want battery storage?

During an outage, which appliances are essential?

Assumptions used in this estimate

These defaults are placeholders. Your engineer will replace them with site-specific values.

How this estimate works

We convert your bill (or kWh) into average daily consumption, then size the solar array to match it:

Solar size (kW) ≈ daily kWh ÷ (peak sun hours × system efficiency)

With the default assumptions of 4.0 peak sun hours and 80% efficiency, each kW of panels produces roughly 3.2 kWh per day. Battery size is based on the power of your selected backup loads, the hours of backup you want, and the battery's usable capacity.

What it can't tell you

A calculator can't see your roof. Orientation, shading from trees and neighbouring buildings, roof condition, wiring and utility requirements all change the final design. That's why every estimate here is preliminary, and why we recommend a professional site assessment before installation.
